Well, I didn't get much sleep last night. I was so wired after my big adrenalin rush, and by the time I settled enough to go to bed, it was very late and then it was a restless sleep. Today I am super restless and bored, even though I have way too much stuff to be doing, but can't seem to get my act together. I went out for groceries, was gone for two hours, and came back with a birthday present for my cousin's son's b-day party this afternoon, and no groceries. How pathetic is that??? Anyway, hopefully this evening I can accomplish some things. We'll see. Need to get Brett into an after hours clinic - he has thrush. And I'm a bad mommy cause I didn't get him in when it first appeared. It looked like it was going away, but it's bad again today. Right now he's sitting in his carrier, hitting himself in the face with an empty pop bottle. And enjoying himself immensely!

I just experienced probably the most frightening thing in my life tonight. Luke ran off. We were at the "new" house getting ready to leave, and not all of the adults there are as careful about keeping doors locked, checking in with him every other moment, etc. He knows where Wilmot Park is, and I think that's where he was headed. After running through the whole house twice, terror taking hold and making me run way faster than I would normally have the energy for, I knew he was headed there. My worry was whether I could get to him first before some lesser person did, or a car, dread the thought. When I rounded the corner there was Luke in the arms of a police officer, with two other officers, and the two adults who had rescued him. I started bawling. Luke didn't want to leave the police officer, so he carried him home. I'm still shaking. How do parents deal with it when it goes on for hours, days, weeks....and then find out the worst...can't go there. Can't do the what if's. I'll go crazy. Just please, Lord Jesus, keep my baby boy (all of them!) safe. PLEASE!!! He's too precious....

Not much to say, just trying to stay in a routine of posting.
Greg's off so early in the morning now. I "sleep in", but not really. Unless you count dozing and waking every ten minutes or so sleeping. Kids are up anywhere from 6:30 to 7:30 - although Brett's been sleeping in until 9:30 the last couple of days. If he'll sleep that long, I'd rather get him to bed at 7'ish, and have him up at 7. Give me an evening. I've been pretty slow to get going this week anyway. I'll have to try to go to bed early tonight. But it usually takes 2 or more hours to have all three boys in bed and sleeping. And if we start the process at 6:30, well, you do the math.
Got a lot of closet cleaning done yesterday. And made donuts. Never knew they were so easy! Now off to do more cleaning, sorting, folding, and packing. Woo-hoo!

Awake at 5:30 this morning as dh is now having to leave the house at 6. I'm wondering how I'll survive these long days, but hopefully we'll get into a good schedule of activities, schooling, Luke's therapy, and I'll find the days busy enough to keep me from going squirrelly. I am NOT happy that summer (such as it was) is over, and I do NOT look forward to winter. Couldn't it just stay fall for the next few months???

Wow, lots happening here. Greg starts back on the bus with school tomorrow. He has to leave at 6 am for his first pickup which is in F'ton Jct. He'll get home around 5:30 pm. Likely he'll be home in between at some point for lunch. I think he may look at hiring another driver at some point. School District 18 is enough work for three drivers. Add onto that Social Services, and all the work we're getting from School District 1 (French District), and they are pretty much too full. Thankfully we have the fourth vehicle if we need to go that route. God certainly has blessed our business!
We found a house thankfully. Such disappointment over losing this one, but we certainly have found a wonderful house to go to. It's a very large historic home sitting at the bottom of Smythe Street. The kids will each be able to have their own rooms which is kind of neat. It's got some neat quirky things about it, and I'm looking forward to living there.
Luke has had very few sessions of therapy as of yet, but he's already improving! He's saying a lot of words without being prompted. It is so neat to see him being brought out of what seems like a hole he's stuck in. I feel like we're going to really get to see new sides of him we didn't know about. He's awesome!
Oh, one more thing about the house. I didn't used to have allergies, but since being in S. Korea, somewhere along the way developed them. I don't do well around carpets. Our mobile, and even this house has a lot of carpeting. The new house has two carpets, and one is brand new. So I think I'll be much better there. I went to look at another house for rent, and started sneezing as soon as I got inside. It just smelled damp, and lots of carpets. It wouldn't have been nice.
