I found this highly amusing! :D
What a tragedy this world has witnessed.
Every time we stand back in horror - the Challenger explosion in '86, the bombing in Oklahoma City in the 90's (93?), 9/11, and now the Columbia's untimely end. There have been two major avalanches in western Canada in less than two weeks - 14 lives lost between the two. Each time something like this happens, I think we all take another look at life, resolving to do better, to live like it is our last day.
And then we fall back into the old routines of whining. I bet the next time I whine because my husband did something that aggravated me, if Mrs. Ramon knew about it, she'd be wishing for my problem. Life is short - much shorter than some of us may think - to be focusing on what we don't have, or letting our dreams stay dreams. I don't mean to be super sentimental here - I'm serious. I have a feeling way down deep that is driving me to go for everything I can today, because I have no guarantee of another minute. It's sad that we lost these seven brave people, but they died living their dream.
So today, though it's nothing that "big", I will live my life to the fullest. I will love my family with all I have. I will forgive the petty little annoyances that I often allow to grow into big offences. I will overlook the downfalls. I will not guilt myself over my own stumbling. I will get back up, and keep going. A life without regrets, pleasing to my Saviour, is my highest goal.
Set your own, and go for it.
